To enable us to achieve this we are looking for an Event Operations Coordinator (Sydney) to join our team at Tennis Australia on a fixed-term basis from October 2023 – February 2024.
Reporting to the Event Operations Manager and working within the Tennis Australia Operations team, this role will focus upon the planning and operational implementation of the Sydney Summer of Tennis Lead in Event in accordance with TA policies, procedures, and protocols.
About the role
In this role, you will:
- Provide general administration support for all operational aspects including transport, information services and accreditation
- Work closely with the Event Operations Manager to deliver the site overlay
- Provide general administration support for all site operational aspects of the event with a focus on contractor management, event bump in and bump out and stock management
- Coordinate staff and contractor inductions and site access during bump-in, event period & bump-out, including online contractor and staff induction process
- Liaise with the Event Safety officer and ensure all OH&S requirements are obtained
- Prepare invoices for payment, including raising purchase order, account coding and entering invoice details while ensuring budget parameters are met
About you
What you will bring to the role:
- Proven experience in sports administration, event operations, or similar
- Motivated self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and perform in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with key stakeholders
- Previous experience supervising staff is advantageous
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
