We are now looking for eager, ambitious and charismatic Meeting & Event Extra Help staff for the hotel's Meeting & Events department. You will report to the Meeting & Event Manager.
As a Meeting & Event staff, you are an important part of creating unforgettable experiences for the hotel's guests. It is in this department that important meetings and events take place, and our guests will turn to you for big and small things. Therefore, we want you to have a unique ability to see each guest, have a positive and problem-solving attitude, infectious positive mood, courage to ask questions, like to think under pressure, take your own initiative and always take responsibility for your actions. Experience in the hotel industry will be beneficial, however all skills and experiences get evaluated.
This position requires hard manual work for conference and event setups. Moving around furniture and equipment for the events. You will need to be able to work in an international staffing environment with a zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind. Beneficial skills needed for setting up and managing professional Video and Audio equipment, such as sound mixers, DJ and speaker setups, microphones, smaller light shows, projectors and basic IT troubleshooting skills.
You are a team player, but can work well independently. You are responsible and driven by good cooperation between you and your colleagues, and you take full ownership of the guests' total hotel experience, and not just your own work area, every day.
The position involves working days, evenings, mornings and weekends - exactly as it is normally to work in a hotel.
The position includes, among other things, the following tasks:
Maintain a high level of service and competence to create an unforgettable overall experience for the hotel's guests.
Responsible for ensuring that the guests are received correctly in accordance with the department's Best Practice routines, as well as responsible for following up with customers during an event.
Traditional course and conference work such as setting up meeting rooms, cleaning meeting rooms and common areas, as well as putting out break food at the right time.
Keep up to date on the hotel's current fire and safety procedures.
Being involved in the hotel's additional sales and working to ensure that the department achieves its various goals. A want to help our We Care program for a greener planet and efficient waste management. Continuously monitor guest satisfaction and take action where necessary.
